John was raised in a household of seven siblings in the backwoods of New Hampshire. Escaping New England, he ran off to Pennsylvania to learn the art of computer engineering. John had debated on whether to study fine art or computer science when first applying to undergraduate schools. The dot coms were all the rage back then and being a starving artist didn’t really appeal to him so he chose an engineering path.
At Lehigh University John took as many art classes that an engineer could fit in his schedule. Among them was a sketching and rendering class. The animation John produced for the final project of that class was primitive, however it gave him a taste of seeing his creations come to life on screen. He moved to San Francisco to learn the art of animation at the Academy of Art University where he learned to make animated films.
John currently resides in Albuquerque, NM, where he is making uplifting, entertaining films and television shows. Through his sense of humor and creativity he creates works that explore human relationships and self transformation.
